An interesting turn of events happened at the 2010 World Series of Poker. Someone got banned. For life.

Jack Effel, the Director of the tournament, explained that it happens when you take someone else’s chips. This was the fault of the player at the WSOP event who was escorted off the table and out of the Amazon Room during the 3rd level of the $1,000 No Limits Hold’em.

A man in his 50s maybe with gray hair and all was escorted out of the playing room by three security guards.

The director of the tournament explained that something happened during the end of level 2 when the 20 minute break started. The players who were not in any hand went for their break.

It turned out that the Baseball Cap culprit was not contented with the pot he was in but went to rake in some extra chips from the player next to him. Remember that the players were on break. The dealers eye was off the table so the Baseball Cap pulled his chips with only one hand using the other hand to lean on the table to support himself. In fact, he just did not use the other arm as leverage but also use it to swipe some chips towards him.

It was not reported how the stealing was done but the security videos of the Amazon Room left no doubt that something uber-wrong was done. The player was immediately escorted out.

Jack Effel emphatically said that the player will be banned from WSOP forever.
